Crystal grows in fields rather than veins, and harvesting it is closer to careful farming than mining. Break the lattice and you have expensive sand.

It is the material that separates buildings from machines, which is why the second thing most commanders build is a crystal field.

Extracts crystal, a solid raw material, and requires a Pig iron mine at level 1. Crystal gates the Solar power research line and feeds nearly all precision hardware.
